We Won a Thing!

Xfinity’s sports viewing experience just picked up a 2026 Cablefax Top Ops Award. Fan View is part of that — which means a thing I worked on won a thing, which is a wonderful sentence to write.

Quick context if you don’t live inside cable industry awards (fair): Top Ops recognizes operational work across cable and broadband. Fan View is the sports companion on X1 — scores, stats, standings, what’s live and what’s next, sitting right next to the game instead of making you leave it to go find out.

I led the special events team on the Olympic version for Milan–Cortina. Which is a very tidy sentence for something that was, in practice, a lot of people arguing about hierarchy at 11pm while dozens of events unfolded across six time zones.

That’s the part an award doesn’t capture. Nobody hands out a trophy for deciding where the medal count goes. But that is the work — a few hundred small arguments about what matters most in the moment, made by people who care more than is strictly reasonable.

Anyway. Proud of the team, proud of the thing. Check it out if you have Xfinity's cable services!
